4. Have you participated in the Exchange program? If so, then please describe the experience (professionally and personally)
   I am in an Excange program right now; it may seem a cliché when I say that it's a blooming experience. You find yourself alone in a totally new environment and you must handle any given situation. It is, in my opinion, the only way to get to know your true abilities.

5. Have you encountered any difficulties/challenges while being an Exchange participant?
   Oh my God, how I did encounter! From finding a place to stay to hammer a nail into the wall, all were challenging. Not to talk about how difficult it was to learn all my tasks at work: unwind hedges, update the Cash&Debt Sharepoint, rollover the intercompany loans - do you understand any of those? Neither did I, but I sure do now. So, my point is: get as many challenges as you can in your Exchange and if you will surmount half of them, you can consider that you had a rewarding internship.

6. What is the coolest thing you've done in your Global Internship?
   I obtained a 24 000 000 euros loan agreement, witch enabled the company to invest in a new product.

7. Give us an example in which the network of contacts you have created in AIESEC helped you personally/ professionally.
   I didn't have a place to stay in Paris and a girl from AIESEC gave me the keys to her apartment for 2 weeks.

8. And a message for our future members...
   Some of you may think that this is just a nice way to spend the time or another interesting item for your CV. Well, let me say that it's a lot more: AIESEC is where your dreams become objectives and further on, where your objectives become results. But don't forget: AIESEC can only lead the way, it's up to YOU to keep going.

4. Have you participated in the Exchange program? If so, then please describe the experience (professionally and personally)
   I am now in an internship in Lithuania, for 6 months. Almost three of them have already passed and during this time I have been experiencing a lot of new things: at work a different environment, an international one, Lithuanians and foreign colleagues as well, at home (meaning the interns' flat) living with 5 different people from 5 different countries, and on the road travelling a lot with other interns and local aiesecers. For me personally, this internship has been a lot of first times: first going out of the country, first flight, first job in another country, first true friendship with a foreigner, and the list can go on.

5. Have you encountered any difficulties/challenges while being an Exchange participant?
   There have been a lot of challenges until now, but none of them too hard to overcome. The most challenging thing is living with other people from different countries, each with their own customs and hobbits related to eating, cooking, cleaning, everything there is to do in a house, which has been the best test for my tolerance and willingness to compromise. Another one is the language. I have no problem to talk in English and most of the people I'm dealing with know it as well, but sometimes it gets interesting when I have to explain what I want to a shop assistance who doesn't speak English. Anyway these are small things compared to the experience I got and the people I meet and got friends with.

6. What is the coolest thing you've done in your Global Internship?
   Hitch hiking from Kaunas to Riga has been, by far the most interesting experience so far, as part of our journey to Stockholm. I left Kaunas with another intern from Spain. The first two cars were piece of cake, but we left ourselves get talked into going on a different road that the one we had in mind, and that got us in Riga around 2:00 o'clock a.m.. It was a real adventure.

7. Give us an example in which the network of contacts you have created in AIESEC helped you personally/ professionally.
   On a personal level the people who I meet helped a lot with my traveling around the country, here in Lithuania and outside as well, being my guide and helping with accommodation issues. Professionally, I have to deal with companies from Romania, which is sometimes hard to realize, and here is where the right contacts can help a lot, making it easier for me to get in touch with the people I need.

8. And a message for our future members...
   Developing myself in the challenging environment provided by this youth organization, getting to know so many amazing people, enlarging my point of view, and leaving for an internship in a foreign country, were the things I took from AIESEC and I enjoyed ever moment of it, and I still do, here in Lithuania. In case you are having doubts about going on internship, DON'T; it will be the best experience of your life. And about letting the internship for the last year of faculty or after graduating, you can reconsider that also. I discovered here a lot of AIESEC members, that went on internship in the first summer holiday from the faculty and they had an amazing experience. Some of them went on Management Traineeships, most of them went on Education or Development and they found the experience very interesting and challenging. Having said that, I hope you enjoy your time in AIESEC, don't let any opportunity sleep away and see you soon, when I get back. Greetings to everyone!

   Professionally, the internship has been like a launch for great things! Personally, it was an amazing experience, one that completely changed my life. I now feel free and able to do anything I set my mind to.

5. Have you encountered any difficulties/challenges while being an Exchange participant?
   Yes. Firstly, the AIESECers in the Netherlands are not as committed as the Romanians. They don't take care of the trainees like I knew back home we did. They are always way too busy to have time to go out with you, so here the social network is basically the other trainees. But I was lucky enough to have a buddy who actually gives a damn, always replies to emails, to stupid questions, we see each other once a week, he also carried my really big and heavy bags when I arrived in the Netherlands! Another difficulty was the formalities for the social security number. Without this number I couldn't get a bank account, without a bank account most Dutch companies cannot give the salary. I got my number after 5 weeks, although I should have got it instantly. The problem was the big number of students arriving at the beginning of the academic year, who also needed to register just as me. And I was also lucky enough to get my salary in cash from my company, but other people (Andi) had to wait until he got a bank account. So be prepared for unexpected situations - meaning have lots of money with you!

6. What is the coolest thing you've done in your Global Internship?
   The coolest thing was to try mushrooms. In the Netherlands they're legal, so I tried them with other trainees and the "trip" was awesome. This is something I probably could not have experienced in another country, so it's definitely a part of my Exchange experience and it was awesome!

7. Give us an example in which the network of contacts you have created in AIESEC helped you personally/ professionally.
   Personally, it's easy to answer this question. Not only did I make a lot of friends, whom I still go out for beer every time I'm in Rotterdam (after not seeing them for 2 years), but I met my boyfriend in AIESEC. Professionally, the internship I got through AIESEC is a mile stone in my career, so it's needless to say how much it helped.

8. And a message for our future members...
   If you get a chance to go on an internship, GO!!! It's the most amazing thing ever to go to a party and talk to people from the USA, South America, Asia, Italy, Germany, Spain, Finland... So many countries, that it's difficult to enumerate them all! Doing an internship in a foreign country is one of the most important steps you can take in your career; you will learn so many things! And usually the companies offer the trainees a full-time position after the internship is over ;) And don't play it safe, like I did. Go to Brazil, go to India, go to Africa, go to Asia! Leave Europe, see something else! You'll be sorry if you didn't when you'll be 30 years old, with a mortgage and a car lease and becoming a workaholic who doesn't have time to take a vacation to the other side of the world!
