The AIESEC eXperience
Each year over 200 young people go through different development stages of the AIESEC experience. The first step is the Induction period, where members get to know the identity of the organization, the issues that it focuses on and its impact in the local, national and international environment. The second step is taking responsibility, that leads to developing abilities and their measurement. Each member is coordinated by a coordinator, on functional department or specific projects. The third stage is the Leadership experience, the essence of the AIESEC brand, and the main way by which students bring a positive impact on society. The leadership position in the organization represents the key moment in which our members contribution reaches the highest level. Based on our internal assessment 40% of the members that had a leadership position in AIESEC are now leaders on a professional level in their workplace. The Exchange world-wide interships program is an important step in each member's AIESEC experience, one that has a major impact in one's career. Basically, young people get the chance to work anywhere in the world, at the same level as the employees of the companies that receive them. In a completely new cultural and social environment, they get to put into practice the theoretical knowledge and abilities that they've gained over the years. Each year, about 50 members from AIESEC Iasi complete their AIESEC experience through an exchange internship. The last step of an AIESEC member is becoming an Alumnus, when he receives the support of all the corporate and noncorporate partners of AIESEC Iasi in order to have a good start in becoming an active person within the local environment. Every year, AIESEC Iasi organizes various meetings and projects aimed at facilitating the interaction between our Alumni and local companies, maintaining a constant relationship with members even after they've entered. They learn how to manage their time, set priorities, and multi-task.
Global and Diversity Through the management of our exchange program and interaction on our global on-line platforms, the average AIESEC member is working and communicating every day with people from all over the world. Nearly all AIESEC members speak more than one language and have an international experience. AIESEC members learn how to work effectively in diverse environments and see things from a global perspective.
Self-Awareness With a focus on reflection, AIESEC provides space and support for individuals to do goal-setting, personal awareness exercises, and personal vision development.
